Fresh Flower and Plant Delivery Guidelines
The Bella Flora team wants ordering online to be an easy, user-friendly process. The following are bits of information meant to help you along the way:
The “special instructions” box on your order form is meant to give you a place to write any special requests you may have regarding your order (preferred color palette, flower selection, delivery time…). The Bella Flora team will do its best to service any “special instructions” you choose to write in this box but cannot guarantee that your requests will be fulfilled. If your special instructions are essential to your order, we recommend that you place your order by phone (218.279.3444) so you can speak with us directly about what you’re hoping for.
The message that you choose to write in the “card message” box of your order is the message that we will send with your order. None of your billing or personal information is included with your order.
Bella Flora abides by Minnesota tax laws and therefore charges a percentage-based sales tax on all orders. Delivery charges are tax-free.
Your order will be confirmed as having been received via email. If you do not receive a confirmation email, your order has not been confirmed.
cancelling an order
Cancellations of fresh flower and plant orders must be received at least 48 hours in advance of your scheduled delivery date. Any cancellations made after this time will not qualify for a refund. Same-day orders are processed immediately and cannot be cancelled under any circumstances. If you have a request for cancellation of an order, please contact us immediately at 218.279.3444.
Bella Flora is committed to creating fresh and personalized designs for every order we take. On occasion you may select a design from our site, elements of which are unavailable. In this case, we will need to make a substitution. The following are guidelines we will follow when such an occasion arises:
fresh flower orders
For fresh flower orders, we will make every effort to maintain the “look” and “feel” of the arrangement you have chosen by considering the flowers, colors, shape, texture and design style you have selected. If a major substitution is necessary, we will attempt to contact you by phone.
For plant orders, similar plants may be substituted of equal or greater value. For one-of-a-kind plants, such as orchids, we will make every attempt to match the plant type but may substitute with another color. Container styles for plant orders will be as similar to the original selection as possible.
We understand that orders for some occasions (funerals, birthdays, anniversaries…) require timely deliveries. Should we need to make substitutions for such orders, we will contact you as soon as possible. If, however, we are unable to contact you via the information you provided, we will deliver the order with the substitution made due to its time-sensitive nature.
Bella Flora is committed to delivering quality products in a timely and friendly manner. We strive for excellent delivery service on each order we take. The following are answers to “frequently asked questions” regarding fresh flower and plant deliveries:
Bella Flora offers delivery service Monday through Friday, and every second and fourth Saturdays. Deliveries typically leave our shop between 9am and 2pm. During major holidays such as Valentine’s Day and Mother’s Day we deliver extended hours.
We do not offer same-day delivery for orders placed online, but you may contact us directly at 218.279.3444 to find out if we are able to accommodate your order. We are closed Sundays and do not offer delivery service.
contacting the recipient
In most cases, we will contact the recipient of your order before delivering in order to ensure that someone will be at the address provided to accept the delivery. If this does not work for you, please contact us directly at 218.279.3444 to give us alternate instructions.
We cannot deliver flower or plant orders to P.O. Box addresses.
We do our best to deliver all sympathy arrangements to funeral homes 2 hours in advance of the visitation and/or services. If you have ordered too late for us to make a delivery to the funeral service, we will contact you as soon as possible so that you can make other arrangements or have something sent to the family’s home.
requests to leave an arrangement
We highly discourage requests for delivery to any location where the recipient cannot accept the arrangement themselves (doorstep, porch, yard…). You the customer assume all liability for requests to leave arrangements, and Bella Flora cannot be held responsible for missing or faulty product that results from such a request.
Bella Flora is not responsible for deliveries made to incorrect addresses submitted to us by the customer. If such a delivery is made, you the customer assume all responsibility for the order.
If the recipient refuses to accept your order, you may be held fully responsible for the order’s cost.
Bella Flora does not confirm delivery of any fresh flower or plant orders. If you would like to find out if and/or when your delivery was made, please phone us at 218.279.3444.
We are pleased to offer delivery to most of Duluth and Superior, with service to outlying areas and neighboring cities.
An additional charge may apply for preferred morning delivery before 10:00 am or before 12:00 noon.
